Alluring Turmoil (Bayou Stix) by Skye Turner

*Sigh* Oh Jude, Jude, Jude ... how I longed to punch you in the throat in the beginning of this book! Luckily, the talented Skye Turner gave us his POV as well, and was able to redeem him in my eyes.

We meet Alexia Sloane, owner of a coffee shop/bakery, and overall sweet southern girl. Together with her best friend and her roommate, she has made it through some tough, emotional times and is getting her life back together ... until he shows up.

Jude Delecroix is the lead singer for the band, Bayou Stix, and he's also the man who left Lexi broken in both spirit and heart when he left town.
Now he's back and he's determined to find the one woman who has haunted his dreams for the last eight years. The only problem is, he's still in love with her, but after she decks him in a local bar, he's not so sure the feelings are mutual.
As they wade through their lingering feelings for each other, everything comes to a head, and a massive misunderstanding is exposed.

This book is full of enough ups and downs to keep a roller coaster junky happy, yet has the HEA that keeps us romance junkies coming back.
I cannot wait to see the next book in this series, and hope that it is out soon!

SHIFTER ROMANCE BOX SET

OMG!!! I love shifters (Hell, I write about them all the time!) and so when I saw this set of eleven (yes ELEVEN!) books for only 0.99 I had to buy it. (Regular price is $2.99 and still a hell of a deal)

All of these stories were amazing. As some of you may know, I never review a book that I didn't absolutely love. I won't because I refuse to put down any author or story. These guys, though, were all amazing!

Everything you could possibly want is in this collection. Werewolves, jaguars, witches, danger, sex ...
I won't go into detail on every story, since it would take entirely too long, so I'm just going to tell you that this will be a definite on my re-read list!

Chasing Dreams by Nicole Edwards

*Sigh* Yup, Nicole Edwards never disappoints! Wowza, did this book have it all. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throw my e-reader across the room ... it was that gripping.
Tessa's feeling of loss when it came to the death of her husband was gut wrenching at times, and her insecurity when it came to relationships was so well written that you can feel your heart constricting as you read the scenes.
Cooper is a hottie in his very own league, as far as I'm concerned! I'll take a cowboy who can sing, is good with his hands, and has a big heart any day. He does his best to reassure Tessa, and attempts to get past her defenses to her well-guarded heart with a romantic stealth that will leave you panting.
I could go on, but then I would just end up giving away most of the story, and you really need to experience this one for yourself.
It's got it all! Sexy cowboys, country singers, barroom brawls, HOT sex, steamy romance, heartache, loss, redemption, forgiveness, and love.
Can't go wrong with that!
