One Lucky Vampire by Lynsay Sands

Let me start off by saying that I have read EVERY Argeneau book she has written ... religiously! I love the characters, and the way they just seem so down to earth and real.
In this story you meet Jake, a rather reluctant vampire who is still a bit peeved about finding himself in his immortal state. However, when he is hired to play bodyguard for his aunt's friend, Jake never expected to gain a treasure that immortals often sought out for centuries ... his life mate!
Now, since Nicole doesn't know he's there for her protection, Jake is trying his best to play the part of her housekeeper/cook while ensuring her safety, though he doesn't have a clue how to cook.
With strange accidents that were happening now becoming more blatant attempts to kill, Jake must find the killer before he manages to take the only thing he holds dear in his new life.

I give this book 5 STARS!! I devoured it in one day, it was that good!
